Paintings in Oil

Carl’s interest in human form, light and color are very evident in his oil painting. Bold stokes and gentle details share the stage on many of Carl’s works.

From a technical standpoint Carl follows tradition by stretching his own canvas and priming the surface with time honored materials. Fine artist oils are laid down in the chiaroscuro (light over dark) manner.
